Teen Read Week - Read for the fun of it! - October 9-15, 2016
The purpose of Teen Read Week is to encourage teens to read graphic novels and other illustrated materials, seek out creative books, or imagine the world through literature, just for the fun of it. Remind your teen to spend time reading for pleasure. Research shows that teens who read for fun have better test scores and are more likely to succeed in the workforce. The Butler Media Center collection contains over 100 graphic novels, including Naruto, Bleach, Superman and Batman, Zatch Bell, St. Dragon Girl, and many more. For more information, use the Butler catalog or see Mrs. Bucci in the Media Center. Teen Read Week visit the ALA YALSA Teen Read Week webpage
